Huiiyun Robotics Wins Shanghai Pudong Airport Block 6 Intelligent Cargo Station Project

Shanghai, China — In 2024, Wuxi Huiiyun Robotics Co., Ltd. secured the contract for the Block 6 Intelligent Cargo Station Project in the West Cargo Area of Shanghai Pudong International Airport’s Phase IV Expansion. The project marks an important milestone for Huiiyun Robotics as the company enters one of China’s most demanding air cargo logistics environments with its intelligent mobile robotics and integrated logistics solutions.


As a core cargo infrastructure project supporting the development of Shanghai’s international aviation hub, the Pudong Airport Block 6 Intelligent Cargo Station is designed to strengthen air cargo handling capacity and accelerate the transformation of cargo operations toward greater automation, digitalization, and intelligence.

With a planned annual cargo handling capacity of more than one million tons, the project covers a wide range of complex operational scenarios, including ULD handling, palletized cargo transfer, express parcel sorting, cold-chain logistics, multi-floor operations, warehousing, staging, docking, and inbound and outbound cargo flows. These scenarios place high requirements on equipment reliability, fleet coordination, scheduling efficiency, operational continuity, and system-level integration.


Huiiyun Robotics stood out in the project evaluation with its solid technology foundation, strong adaptation capability for complex logistics environments, and proven system integration expertise. For the Pudong Airport project, the company will provide a fully integrated intelligent logistics solution built around independently developed mobile robots, coordinated equipment systems, and intelligent scheduling capabilities.


The solution will support automated cargo movement across key operational areas of the cargo station. Multi-category mobile robots will enable flexible cargo transfer within the facility, while the intelligent scheduling system will coordinate vehicle movement, task allocation, equipment interaction, and process execution across different operating zones. Together, these capabilities are designed to improve cargo handling efficiency, reduce reliance on manual transfer, enhance operational visibility, and strengthen coordination between warehousing, sorting, staging, and airside/landside transfer processes.

The project is also significant for Huiiyun Robotics’ growth trajectory.
